Journeying in the Journey

I’ve been on a journey. More of a journey within a journey. I have been very quiet lately whilst dealing with this new journey, because, some days silence is what is the most godly decision. There are times in life when you face trials and God silences your voice. Not because you do not want to be heard. Not because you do not want to tell others your story. Rather because God’s ways are perfect and when you are surrendered to His will (which is the striving of each of us as Christians) God asks for us to be still and silent.
Not my strong suit, might I add.
As I am learning more and more to be open about my journey and my struggles, it seems only right sometimes that every trial be transparent. But, God did not want this one shared just yet. He had a greater plan. He had a better way. He had a more intricate plan than my human mind could understand. And so, silence. Not a single word could I type or write that had meaning, wisdom, insight or purpose. My canvas was blank, but my heart was so full!
Every face a trial in that way? Maybe you were right. Maybe your heart was breaking. Maybe your world fell apart. Maybe your hopes were shattered. Maybe grace was given but not reciprocated. Maybe you felt the touch of the Holy Spirit calling for your surrendered silence. Some pains and aches and trials were not meant to be shared because their soul purpose was for the Holy Spirit to mold and make you, in the quietness of His hands. Churning and molding and pressing and firing and remaking your vessel to be one of honor, without the onlooking display of publicity.

“His is fully, wholly, completely, perfectly Unshattered“
And so, through this time, God was showing me what Grace, in its most Unshattered form, really looked like.
We give grace, don’t we? We strive to. As Christ forgave us, so we forgive others. We extend that grace He bestowed on us to others who are so undeserving. However, our grace is shattered, imperfect, fallible at best in comparison. His is fully, wholly, completely, perfectly Unshattered!
What a truth.
We can never, in these earthly vessels, attain that kind of perfection. Not just because we are imperfect, but because we, ourselves, are in such need of grace on such a daily basis, we are only reflecting such glorious grace, not the producers of it!
Let that sink in.
We love Him, because He first loved us. (1John 4:19)
1 John 2:6 – He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 1 Corinthians 11:1 – Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. 1 Peter 2:21 – For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Ephesians 5:1-2 – Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; (Read More…) John 13:13-17 – Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. There is literally a seemingly endless list of verses just like these.
You are because He is.
Which means: Nothing of this sort is originate with the human vessel, but rather it is a reciprocation of what has been given.
No wonder we can’t seem to get it right on the first try. No wonder we seem to fail so miserably sometimes at giving grace. Humility has become my biggest friend, needing constantly to fix my mistakes of poorly delivering grace.
This.
This has been my journey within my journey. Learning the beauty of a perfect and unshattered grace that is not fully attained but rather to be strived for. Yet He knows our struggle. He knows our intentions and our hearts. He forgives as no one else, and loves deeper and greater than anyone else. We cannot attain the perfect with others, but with our perfect Savior, we are loved and drawn closer to Him as He continues to mold us AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN.
