What a woman the Proverbs 31 woman is! Such an incredible picture of virtue, loyalty, love, patience, trust, strength, dignity, and perfection. Reading along one might find themselves lost in a sea of impossible goals. However, if we really look into her life and what she is able to do, what she is able to accomplish, the name and legacy she is creating in her daily life, nothing she does is achieved in big leaps and bounds. It is in her everyday, seemingly mundane, and sometimes boring to do list, that she finds her strength and dignity. A sense of purpose can be seen in her daily chores. She didn't accomplish these things by doing it well for one day or one week, but by doing it very well over a long period of time, which takes perseverance.

It took me a long time to read Proverbs 31's description of the virtuous woman without feeling defeated and frustrated. Such high qualities I felt I would never achieve. But, as I began to grow more in my relationship with the Lord, some things became evidently clear, this was not going to be something I became overnight, it was going to take a series of small steps forward and aging into a more perfect vessel.

Did you know rose gold becomes more perfect over time? As it ages, it becomes richer and more vibrant in color!

  1. Rose gold is warm in color. It is, in fact, the warmest tone of gold that you can get. Copper is added to create that beautiful pink/reddish color in the gold. It doesn't not fit into any color wheel and over time the colors become darker and tarnish is not a worry to the owner. Oh to be a woman who becomes warmer and more durable over time. I want to be that sweet old lady that resonates the warm love of Jesus to all those who I come into contact with, but especially to those in my own household. I don't want to tarnish over time. I want my moments with Jesus to be the copper that shines through!

  2. Rose gold is not 100% gold. It is a combination of different metals like copper and silver. Gold, on its own, is so soft, it cannot be used for wearing. So, as other materials are added, the strength of the metal increases. Copper is actually the most durable of all the metals. How interesting that we also are strengthened with added ingredients. God knows just how much is needed in our lives to help us grow and become stronger so that we will be able to serve the purpose for which we were created.

  3. Rose gold pairs well with almost anything including other metals like gold and silver! Oh to be that kind of friend. One who is able to create an atmosphere of warmth, love and acceptance everywhere I go. To be like Jesus to those around me. Not to clash with others or bring them down, but to compliment them and encourage them in their walk with the Lord. Even more so, to be that kind of wife and mother, who can bring added luster to my home instead of friction and frustration.

I love how God can use the elements around us to remind us and teach us more about Himself and the work He is doing in and through us. What a beautiful picture Rose Gold can be of the Proverbs 31 woman, who, with time and diligence, aged into a more beautiful and warm version of God's most precious treasure. Who can find a virtuous woman, for her price is far above rubies! (Proverbs 31:10). No wonder she laughs without fear of the future. Because she only becomes more beautiful with time!
